Art Workshops
The First Friday of the month through the 2025-2026 winter season.

All workshops require registration and a fee. Most take place inside the Stockton Park House (the building behind the Civil War monument, south of the pool).

Ceramic Snowman Sculpture
December 5, 2025 & January 2, 2026 (Two Parts), 6 pm to 8 pm
Stockton Park House, 600 N Pearl Street, Stockton, Illinois
Instructor: Sharen Mellicker
Cost: $45 (Includes all materials for both sessions)
Maximum / Minimum Number of Students: 12 / 6
Students will attend two workshops to complete their snowman project. Session 1 (Dec 5): Students will be constructing the snowman from earth clay. The projects will need to dry and be kiln fired. Session 2 (Jan 2): Students will paint their snowmen with acrylic paint, then spray with clear finish.

Pouring Paint
February 6, 2026, 6 pm to 8 pm
Stockton Park House, 600 N Pearl Street, Stockton, Illinois

Cost: $15 (Includes all materials)
Maximum / Minimum Number of Students: 10 / 5
If you want to create a beautiful painting but think you have no artistic talent, this is the class for you! Pouring paint is fast and easy and the results may surprise and delight you. No paintbrushes required. This is NOT a paint and sip so there will be no alcohol involved. All materials will be provided. Due to drying time, finished paintings will need to be left overnight and picked up on Saturday, February 7th. It can get messy, so dress accordingly.
